Ninian Frenguelli is a Postdoctoral Research Officer at the University's Cyber Threats Research Centre (CYTREC). He has a BSc in Criminology and Psychology and an MSc in Social Research Methods. He completed his PhD in gender and the extreme right online in 2025 from Swansea University.

Ninian's PhD looked at the differences in attitudes towards gender and gender-related issues across different movements of the extreme and far right as expressed on their websites. He has previously published on masculinity in extreme right attacker manifestos and has a paper in pres on the tradwife movement on social media platforms Pinterest and Whisper.
