Kamva Poswa is currently a Master of Arts student in English at Walter Sisulu University, under the supervision of Professor Thabisani Ndlovu. In his dissertation, Poswa explores the construction of masculinities in South African literature, with a focus on how fiction reflects and shapes ideas about black manhood in the post-apartheid epoch. Poswa’s academic interests are predominantly in the intersections of literature, identity, and society, with a particular focus on childhood, masculinity, and folklore in the South African context. His work contributes to broader conversations about representation, gender, and storytelling - remaining committed to using literature as a lens through which contemporary South African life is understood.
