Mr Kamva Poswa
Kamva Poswa is currently a Master of Arts (English) candidate at Walter Sisulu University, under the supervision of Professor Thabisani Ndlovu. In his dissertation, Poswa explores the construction of masculinities in South African literature, with a focus on how fiction reflects and shapes ideas about black manhood in the post-apartheid epoch. Poswa’s academic interests are predominantly in the intersections of literature, identity, and society, with a particular focus on childhood, masculinity, and folklore in the South African context. His work contributes to broader conversations about representation, gender, and storytelling - remaining committed to using literature as a lens through which contemporary South African life is understood.
