Mr Nqaba Sobola is a Lecturer in the Department of Arts at Walter Sisulu University. He is currently completing his Master’s dissertation with Assoc.Prof. Thabisani Ndlovu as his supervisor. The title is “Lexical items of diversity and belonging in Nguni languages: A decolonial reading of social media texts”. The study engages classism, racism and Afrophobia in South Africa through a critical discourse analysis of Nguni language lexical items in selected social media texts.
